The hardware cost, on top of the monthly fee
There's one other number to account for: the dish itself. Starlink currently advertises no upfront hardware cost in select areas. Where that promotion doesn't apply, you pay a one-time kit fee — in the UK, hardware starts at £179 for Roam. The same dish works for both the Residential and Roam plans, so you don't need to buy a second one if you switch later.
There's no rental fee and no equipment-return requirement: once you own the kit, it's yours.
How to pay less: the referral reward
Starlink doesn't do promo codes at checkout. The one legitimate discount is the referral program: sign up through our referral link and get $100 (US), paid as cash to your bank account or as service credit. The reward is paid after you've been subscribed for two months.
Combined with the 30-day trial (full refund if you're not satisfied), it's about as low-risk as trying a new internet provider gets.
Affiliate link: we may earn a commission if you order through the referral link — at no extra cost to you.
